Clinical trials for pulmonary hypertension treatment:

Ukraine

Research is being conducted in Ukraine for the development of new medications to treat pulmonary hypertension. We are currently enrolling children aged 2-17 years diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension for clinical trials involving the new-generation drug Macitentan (more details available here).

If your child meets the specified criteria and you are interested in participating, please contact the physicians overseeing the trial at the following centers:

Key Inclusion Criteria:

1. Signed informed consent from the parent(s) before any study-sanctioned procedure.
2. Men or women aged 2 to 18 years.
3. Patients weighing ≥ 10 kg at randomization.
4. Diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) confirmed by right heart catheterization (mPAP ≥ 25 mm Hg, PAWP ≤ 15 mm Hg, and PVRi > 3 WUxm2).
5. PAH belonging to the updated 2013 Nice classification group 1 (including subjects with Down syndrome) and the following etiologies:
   - Idiopathic PAH
   - Hereditary PAH
   - PAH associated with congenital heart disease
   - Drug- or toxin-induced PAH
   - PAH associated with HIV
   - PAH associated with connective tissue diseases
   - WHO Functional class I-III.
